The River Wye is renowned as being one of the best places to canoe in Europe.
It is a beautiful river which meanders through spectacular scenery. There are numerous places where you can stop and picnic and even some lovely pubs which welcome canoeists with a pint and some superb food.
The canoeing is very varied and takes you through such landmarks as Symonds Yat and Monmouth. Depending upon your experience and the journey you choose, we can arrange a short paddle or a longer row.
Symonds Yat
Enjoy a day of paddling down the river to Symonds Yat or onwards to Monmouth. Start next to The Bridge House, or from Symonds Yat, and soak up the beauty of the lower Wye Valley.
Wyedean Canoe & Adventure Centre on the East bank of the river, and Wye Canoes on the West bank, both offer transport to your chosen start point.
Hereford
For the long distance or more adventurous paddler, begin your journey in Hereford and make you way back to the luxury of The Bridge House.
